Download NoriOS
NoriOS is coming soon. One image will do it all: boot it from a USB stick, try NoriOS without touching your disk, and install it when you are ready.
For 64-bit PCs with UEFI. The download will appear here when the first release is out.

Three steps
1. Write it to a USB stick
Use a tool like balenaEtcher or Rufus, or dd on Linux. Everything on the stick is replaced.
2. Start from the stick
Restart your PC and choose the USB stick in its boot menu (often F12, F10 or Esc while it starts).
3. Try it, then install
NoriOS starts from memory with the installer open. Look around first; nothing is written to your disk until you press Install.
The install guide goes through every step, including trying NoriOS in a virtual machine.
What you need
- A 64-bit PC with UEFI firmware. Secure Boot has to be off for now.
- Memory and disk: NoriOS is tested with 4 GB of memory and a 32 GB disk, and runs from memory while you try it.
- A USB stick of 1 GB or more.
NoriOS is young: hardware support is still growing. It drives Intel Wi-Fi 6E, Realtek gigabit Ethernet, NVIDIA graphics, Intel HD Audio, NVMe and SATA drives, and USB keyboards and mice. The installer takes a whole disk; installing next to Windows is coming soon.
